OLYMPIC NOTES

     Upper Deck features two Olympic card sets, U.S. Olympic
Champions Olympicards, which focus on past Olympians and
potential members of the '96 squad and the USA Basketball Deluxe
Gold Edition, 72 cards devoted to the U.S. Men's and Women's
basketball teams.  Topps released a 24-card set of the U.S.
Women's basketball team and Fleer has a 52-card set of the Men's
basketball team (Baltimore SUN, 7/11). ....Atlanta's water supply
will be guarded by soldiers, police and hidden cameras to insure
against tampering during the Games (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 7/11).
...Of the 2,700 rooms listed by Homeowners United Gold Medal
Housing 1996, only seven had been rented as of July 3 (ROCKDALE
EXTRA, 7/11)...Greek politicians are calling for their Olympic
basketball team to be recalled following its poor behavior on a
Delta flight from Athens to New York (USA TODAY, 7/11).
