WEDNESDAY WEB SITES OF THE WEEK: LONG AND SHORT OF ATLANTA

This week's Web review looks at some of the tallest
Olympians -- 7'1", 301-pound Shaquille O'Neal -- and some of the
smallest -- 4'6", 72-pound Dominique Moceanu. USA Basketball's
site, at http://www.usabasketball.com, lacks the pageantry and
photography of other Olympic Web sites, opting instead for bare
bones facts and information about the Dream Team, the USA Women's
National Team, the under-22 team and the junior national select
team. Browsers can select ticket info, the latest news, rosters
and schedules for players and coaches as well as history
regarding USA Basketball. The features biographies, complete
with the player's photo, size, collegiate notes and statistics,
along with personal notes and experience with USA Basketball when
applicable. For those wanting a crash course on gymnastics, the
USA Gymnastics site is located at http://www.usa-
gymnastics.org/usag. The site not only supplies biographies for
members of the national men's, women's and rhythmic gymnastics
squads, but also action photos, an explanation of the
apparatuses, scoring and an appreciation for the ideal
performance. Gymnastics.org also offers a detailed history of
the sport itself, in addition to selected articles from Technique
and USA Gymnastics magazines (THE DAILY).
