RAVENS TO DEBUT NEW LOGO TONIGHT ON CAMDEN'S WAREHOUSE WALL

The Ravens will unveil one of their new logos tonight after the Orioles-Tigers game at Camden Yards, according to Jon Morgan of the Baltimore SUN. Banners featuring the logo will be dropped from buildings within view of the ballpark amid fireworks. Uniforms will be introduced tomorrow at the Inner Harbor. Sources familiar with the new look say it features "a black helmet with a gold crest on the sides and a purple stripe down the top. The crest is partitioned into quadrants with a 'B' in the middle and an element of the Maryland flag in one quadrant." Home jerseys will be purple with white lettering with black pants featuring "another version of the crest on the hip," with red, black and yellow of the MD state flag (Baltimore SUN, 6/4). A MIDNIGHT DREARY: In Baltimore, Michael Olesker notes new Raven TV ads featuring Edgar Allen Poe eating hot dogs at a tailgate yelling "get crazy ... get crazy." TBC Advertising President Allan Charles said they wanted to "make people remember the excitement about the world's largest outdoor insane asylum" (Baltimore SUN, 6/4).
