FRANCHISE NOTES

     The Ravens have 4,000 season tickets remaining for the
team's debut season at Memorial Stadium.  About 53,000 tickets
have been sold for the season, with $20, $55 and $75 seats all
sold out (Baltimore SUN, 6/26)....In her "Buzz" column, the
PHILA. DAILY NEWS' Harriet Lessy notes Ticketmaster "is making
like it wants to go public, but is trying to regain control of
all its licensees first."  Lessy reports that local licensee Ed
Snider is "holding out until the offer gets to a cool" $20M.
Ticketmaster Chair Paul Allen may need money from a public
offering to complete his deal for the Seahawks (PHILA. DAILY
NEWS, 6/26)....The CBA Yakima Sun Kings and the La Crosse Bobcats
recently unveiled new logos.  The Sun Kings will have new colors
-- gold, orange and purple -- and the logo will feature a sun
with "ominous eyes leering" over the team name.  The Bobcats' new
logo features a snarling bobcat gripping a basketball centered
over an inverted purple and red triangle.  The teams colors are
brown, red and purple (CBA)....The Harlem Wizards, a pro
basketball team that has toured the U.S. and overseas for 35
years, filed suit to prevent the Bullets from changing their name
to Wizards.  They are represented by the NJ firm of Friscia &
Nussbuam (Wizards)....Jamie Wayne of the FINANCIAL POST profiles
new MLG Holdings partner Larry Tanenbaum, writing that he could
become Toronto's Wayne Huizenga, as he is rumored to be
interested in buying into the Raptors, Blue Jays or SkyDome
(FINANCIAL POST, 6/25)....The Quebec government "has stunned" the
Alouettes by deciding not to lend the CFL franchise money.
Provincial officials had told Owner Jim Speros they would lend
C$1.375M to the team.  Although the decision is a setback,
General Counsel Mitch Garber said it would not severely damage
the franchise (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 6/26).
