STADIUM NOTES

     A report from the Maryland Dept. of Fiscal Services
estimates the Ravens' stadium will generate only 534 new jobs at
a cost of about $331,00 apiece.  Maryland invested $176M into the
project (WASHINGTON TIMES, 5/30)....According to sources, the
report from the PA Commission on Stadium Development will
recommend that a sports authority have the ability to create and
raise taxes or sell municipal bonds and also decide what teams
and cities should receive public assistance (PHILLY INQUIRER,
5/30)....Patriots Owner Robert Kraft paid about $16M to a group
led by local radio personality Eddie Andelman giving Kraft
control of the land containing Foxboro Stadium and Raceway
(BOSTON GLOBE, 5/30).
