     Tom Reich, agent for Yankee closer John Wetteland, said the
mixup which resulted in his client not being paid commensurate
with his $4M contract will be resolved in the coming days (N.Y.
POST, 5/14)....Hoping for a large crowd for tonight's game
against the Jazz, the Spurs will open the top deck of the
Alamodome and sell 13,000 tickets for $5 each (HOUSTON CHRONICLE,
5/14)....Despite signing Doug Flutie, the Argonauts announced
they have sold only 7,500 season-ticket subscriptions.  There
were 8,000 subscribers last season (Toronto GLOBE & MAIL,
5/14)....Though Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones claims his team's off-
the-field problems are no worse than any other NFL team's, the
DALLAS MORNING NEWS reports "a decades old legacy of substance
abuse, domestic violence, promiscuity and paternity suits" in the
Cowboys organization (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 5/12).

TNT’s Stan Van Gundy, ESPN’s Tim Reed, NBA Playoffs and NFL Draft
