In an effort to avoid last-minute problems, Olympic sponsors sent staff to count and check their Olympic tickets at the Fort Smith, AK, printing plant, according to the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION. Regular spectators won't get their tickets until UPS delivers them in early June (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 5/10)....The labor union representing 40% of Georgia Power Co.'s workforce has threatened to go on strike less than three weeks before the Olympics unless they get a new labor agreement (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION, 5/8)....Harley Sheffied, the man who dropped the Olympic torch and let the flame go out, will appear Monday night on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno."
