Published April 4, 1996
A photo of Fila endorsee Jerry Stackhouse wearing a Nike jacket in the April '96 issue of EBONY magazine was taken before Stackhouse signed his contract with FILA USA. The picture, reported in the PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS and subsequently in THE DAILY, was taken in Chapel Hill, NC, in June '95. Stackhouse signed with Fila in August '95. At the time, the Nike apparel was in keeping with UNC's deal with Nike. Stackhouse has signed a five-year contract with Fila, including shoes and apparel (Advantage Int'l).
