PATRIOTS SAY NFL DID NOT FULLY REVEAL PETER'S RECORD

     The Patriots say they did not receive the full information
from NFL Security on their controversial fifth-round draft pick
Christian Peter when they sought it before the draft, according
to the BOSTON GLOBE.  Borges and Griffith write the full extent
of the NFL file on Peter became known to them only "after a
firestorm of negative publicity." Pats Owner Bob Kraft: "What I
was told in that (draft) room was a lot different from what I was
told in the last 48 hours.  Our own security check was not as
good as it should have been, but the NFL did not give us all the
information they had, either" (BOSTON GLOBE, 4/26).
