     Golf analyst Ken Venturi was re-signed by CBS at least
through '98, according to CBS Sports Senior VP Rick Gentile.
Venturi had planned to retire after three years, but CBS Sports
asked him "to reconsider" (CBS)....NTN Communications will allow
viewers of ESPN's NFL draft coverage to play along, predicting
picks and participating in draft trivia.  The service will be
available at several sports venues, as well as sports bars and
restaurants and via AOL (NTN)....The fX network has committed to
22 episodes of a new "reality series" with a baseball theme.  The
show, with a working title of "Wild and Outside," will follow the
"personal and professional exploits" of the Mike Veeck-owned
Northern League St. Paul Saints.  fX Senior VP/Development &
Production Rich Ross said the show, which premieres August 18,
will tie in with fX's planned MLB coverage that starts in the
spring of '97 (HOLLYWOOD REPORTER, 4/18).
