ALLEN OFFICIALS DENY REPORT OF $200M OFFER FOR SEAHAWKS

Officials associated with Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen
denied a KOMO-TV report in Seattle that Allen had made of offer
of over $200M for the Seahawks. Allen spokesperson Susan Pierson
said the rumors were false, adding, "There have been no meetings,
no negotiations, no offer made." Bob Whitsitt, Blazers President
and Allen's point-man on talks with the Seahawks, also denied a
deal. The speculation comes as the WA Supreme Court considers
today in which jurisdiction lawsuits filed by King County and the
team will be heard. The Seahawks would like the suits to be
heard in Kittitas County, "away from any political pressure on
King County judges" to keep the Seahawks in Seattle (Boren &
Farnsworth, SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, 3/27).
