SAN JOSE CUTS FINAL DEAL WITH WARRIORS

     The San Jose City Council approved a one-year deal for the
Warriors to play in San Jose Arena, with an option for a second
if necessary, according to this morning's SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS.
The city will get $100,000 for each full NBA season and an
estimated $90,000 a year for traffic and crowd control.  The city
will not collect additional revenue from luxury boxes.  The
Sharks-owned San Jose Arena Management Corp. will pay for
renovations, including $2M for a new scoreboard (Mary Anne
Ostrom, SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS, 3/27).
