SPARKY MOVES FROM THE DUGOUT TO THE BOOTH: JOINS PRIME
Published March 22, 1996
Sparky Anderson has inked a deal with Prime Sports to call play-by-play for the network's 31 telecasts of the Angels (Prime). In L.A., Larry Stewart notes that Prime was "seeking its own identity" with the addition of Anderson, as the Angels over-the-air broadcaster, KCAL, will use Jerry Reuss on color commentary. Steve Physioc will handle play-by-play for both KCAL and Prime (L.A. TIMES, 3/22).
