MEDIA NOTES

     ESPNet's SportsZone is said to be having trouble getting
users "to pony up the money for sports data that they can get
elsewhere" (CRAIN'S NEW YORK, 3/18)....Fox will broadcast three
NFL preseason matchups in August: 49ers at Chargers on August 10;
Broncos at Cowboys on August 17; and Packers at Colts on August
24 (Fox)....Raybin Communications has been named a media partner
for Pinnacle's MLB All-Star FanFest.  Many of FanFest's
attractions will be featured on Raybin's "Sports Collectors Show"
(MLB Properties)....CBS Radio Networks will air a 90-minute
"Inside Pitch" show before each of their Sunday night baseball
broadcasts.  The show, hosted by Jim Hunter, will feature
interviews and commentary in a call-in format (CBS Radio)....This
weekend's "Inside Stuff" will go behind the scenes of David
Robinson's chat session on NBA.com (NBA)....Oilers play-by-play
man Russ Small will add anchor at Houston's KPRC-TV to his duties
as Sports Dir at KTRH-AM (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 3/21).
