     JASON KIDD has reached an oral agreement to play minor
league baseball this summer for a Giants' A farm team.  Kidd will
be assigned to either the Burlington Bees, San Jose Giants or
Bellingham Giants (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 3/13).... Former Lakers
star JAMES WORTHY will donate his No. 42 jersey and trademark
goggles to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History
today.  He will also be the first athlete interviewed for the
museum's new oral history project on American sports (WASHINGTON
