         CRAIG GERBER has joined the AFL Anaheim Piranhas as VP/Sales
    and Marketing (Piranhas)....SMG announced GLENN MON has been
    appointed to oversee the Jacksonville Sports & Entertainment
    Complex, including Jacksonville Memorial Stadium (SMG)....JEFF
    DORF has been named as the new GM for Prime Sports Radio
    (PSR)....Golf Digest has named PETER GRIFFIN as VP & Ad Director.
    He was formerly publisher of Snow Country magazine (AD AGE
    ONLINE, 1/5).

          Bucs GM RICH MCKAY said he is willing to step down if the
    team's new coach wants complete control (TAMPA TRIBUNE,
    1/4)....Nets Guard KENNY ANDERSON and wife TAMMY are reportedly
    trying to cut a deal for a TV talk show (N.Y. DAILY NEWS,
    1/5)....HENRY KISSINGER is trying to salvage an international
    soccer tournament threatened by the U.S. Government's partial
    shutdown.  Players from Mexico, Brazil and elsewhere have been
    prevented from obtaining visas to come to CA for the tournament
    next week.  Kissinger is lobbying for special dispensations (USA
    TODAY, 1/5).
