REDSKINS STADIUM HEARINGS OPEN WITH GOOD NEWS FOR COOKE

The initial round of hearings on a proposed new stadium for the Redskins yesterday "went to the project's supporters" as the Prince George's County Council rejected calls to delay the proceedings until mid-January or longer. Opponents of the project argued the Council should delay the proceedings to meet some technical requirements. Hearings will resume today (Neal & Pierre, WASHINGTON POST, 1/3).
