     Former 49ers Head Coach Bill Walsh confirmed he has been
approached by the Bucs about a GM/coaching job if the team moves
to L.A. (Nick Pugliese, TAMPA TRIBUNE, 1/16).... For the first
time since the Blue Jays moved to SkyDome in '89, season-ticket
sales are down and will total less than the club's self-imposed
26,000 minimum.  Jays President Paul Beeston thinks the team will
sell "somewhere north of 20,000" season-tickets (Toronto GLOBE &
MAIL, 1/16)....The NBA is supporting the Nets in their civil
lawsuit filed by guard Chris Childs.  NBA Deputy Commissioner
Russ Granik: "According to our lawyers, this case is entirely
frivolous" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 1/13)....ABC's Dick Schaap reported
on the love-love relationship between the Packers and their fans.
The piece focused on the community ownership and the Packers as
"America's Team" ("World News Tonight," ABC, 1/12).

Later in the show, we hear from ESPN’s VP of Programming and Acquisitions Tim Reed as the NFL Draft gets set to kick off on Thursday night in Motown.
