The Pacers and Group W Sports Marketing announced a multi- year cable TV deal that will begin with 28 games this year. The cable deal is the first in the team's 29-year history. Pacers Cable will be in addition to the Pacers' 30-game broadcast TV schedule and American Cablevision has reached a deal in principle to begin carrying Pacers Cable on Tuesday. Pacers President Donnie Walsh: "This package will expand our reach and will allow many people who have not had the opportunity to see the Pacer experience" (INDIANAPOLIS STAR/NEWS, 12/1).
