         KENNY ANDERSON has fired his agent, Atlanta-based RICHARD
    HOWELL.  Anderson would not discuss reasons for the switch or who
    is new agent will be (N.Y. POST, 12/1).... Network Int'l has
    named ARNOLD WRIGHT to the position of Dir of Team and Corporate
    Services.  He will direct development and implementation of
    ticketing and marketing programs for pro teams (Network
    International)....Fox Sports has named DAN BELL as a publicist in
    its media relations department.  He was previously
    Manager/Marketing Commun. at The Baseball Network (Fox
    Sports)....The Blue Jays named TIM MCCLEARY as Assistant GM.  He
    was with the Yankees (SportsTicker).

         MSG Exec VP JOSEPH COHEN's return to the company after a
    stint owning the L.A. Kings is profiled in CRAIN'S NEW YORK
    BUSINESS.  Ylonda Gault writes Cohen "must develop more programs
    in which advertisers not only buy television ads on the MSG
    Network and the rights to hand signs in the Garden but also
    participate in joint promotions for other Garden events and
    products" (CRAIN'S NEW YORK, 11/27-12/3)....Colts Owner ROBERT
    IRSAY had a stroke Wednesday night and is conscious and in stable
    condition in an Indianapolis hospital (INDIANAPOLIS STAR/NEWS,
    12/1)....NASL Organizer JEROME COOPER died of pneumonia yesterday
    in his Washington home.  He was 81 (WASHINGTON POST, 12/1)....CBS
    Sports figure skating analyst SCOTT HAMILTON commented on recent
    remarks by NANCY KERRIGAN in which she called competitions
    "boring."  Hamilton: "If you're not in shape, if you don't want
    to be there, don't come" (CBS Sports)....Former Browns QB BRIAN
    SIPE intends to protest the team's move in several ways over the
    coming weeks.  Sipe's efforts could include a documentary on the
    team "for the fans," a rally of former Browns players before the
    team's final home game, and a possible stint in the booth as an
    NBC analyst for Sunday's Browns-Chargers game (Akron BEACON
    JOURNAL, 12/1)....DIANA ROSS, at a press conference announcing
    she would be the Super Bowl XXX halftime entertainment: "I know
    the game will be exciting. [sarcastic laughter from crowd].  At
    least a little bit anyway" ("ET," 11/30)....JOE GARAGIOLA
    appeared on NBC's "Today" acknowledging his humanitarian award
    from the broadcasters association. ... MAGIC JOHNSON also
    appeared on "Today" updating his fight with HIV.  Johnson said he
    hopes to play on the '96 "Dream Team":  "I'm 253 [lbs.], but all
    muscle, not fat" (NBC, 11/30)....GREG LOUGANIS appeared on ABC's
    "GMA" with the mother of Ryan White.  Louganis will be honored
    with the 5th annual Ryan White achievement award.  Louganis,
    noting the positive response he has received since going public
    on his contraction of HIV:  "Even if people don't understand
    sexual orientation, they understand honesty" ("GMA," ABC, 11/30).
