STADIUM NOTES: CORPORATE SUPPORT FOR LOUISVILLE STADIUM

     Supporters of a new football stadium for the Univ. of
Louisville expect to announce next month that corporations have
pledged almost $12-16M, which almost guarantees it will happen in
time for the '97 season opener against Kentucky (USA TODAY,
11/22)....Tampa Bay's ThunderDome is profiled in BASEBALL WEEKLY.
Joel Poiley writes that architect Stan Meradith of the Tampa-
based Lescher & Mahoney used his memories of "asymmetrical,
character-filled parks" to design the Devil Rays' home (BASEBALL
WEEKLY, 11/15-21 issue).
