REFERENDUM ON NEW TWINS BALLPARK COULD COME IN NOVEMBER

The Minneapolis Advisory Task Force on Professional Sports
"inched toward" recommending a referendum by next November on
whether to build a new ballpark for the Twins, according to Jay
Weiner of the Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE. Weiner writes the group
did not "put the recommendation on paper," but that could come
next Tuesday when they meet again to finalize recommendations for
the Legislature. Details are still "open to debate." Twins CFO
Kevin Mather said team officials have been discussing an open-air
or convertible dome with financing similar to what is being used
in Milwaukee (Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE, 11/22).
