FOX CONFIRMS DON KING BOXING SERIES IS OFF
Published November 15, 1995
Although Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno say they'll fight March 16 on Showtime's SET PPV, Time-Warner's Seth Abraham "isn't convinced," according to USA TODAY's Michael Hiestand. Abraham: "Tyson has a busted thumb. We don't know who he's going to fight next or when he's going to fight next." Hiestand also says to "put the final kibosh on the Don King monthly boxing show on Fox." Fox Sports' Vince Wladika says the deal is off: "It was tied into the Tyson-Buster Mathis fight taking place" (USA TODAY, 11/15).
