OLYMPIC NOTES: OLYMPIC SOCCER TEAM WILL PLAY IN WASHINGTON

     Organizers of the '96 Games have announced the U.S. Olympic
Soccer team will play one of its three first-round games at DC's
RFK Stadium (WASHINGTON POST, 11/15).... Atlanta will lead the
nation's major metro areas in job creation between now and the
year 2000, according to an economic survey released by DRI/McGraw
Hill, Inc.  Credit for the growth goes to the expected $1.5B
economic impact of the Olympics (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION,
11/15)....The American Red Cross and ACOG have announced an
agreement to ensure immediate response to the emergency first aid
needs of visitors to the Games (American Red Cross)....The
Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation is submitting a bid to host
the 1999 World Gymnastics Championships (NEW ORLEANS CITY
BUSINESS, 11/6 issue)....The Olympic Games Travel Network,
sponsored by WorldTravel Partners, opens to the public this week
to offer comprehensive travel services to Olympic Spectators
(WorldTravel Partners).
