BROWARD COUNTY FACES TIGHT SCHEDULE TO RESOLVE ARENA ISSUE
Published October 31, 1995
The recent wave of support toward building an arena in Broward County for the Panthers has left county leaders "scrambling" to make a $160M decision with "almost no time to study it," according to the Ft. Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL. County Commissioners are scheduled to meet today in a "workshop" session to discuss the proposed bed tax and hiring a financial advisor to ensure the county can raise enough funds before committing to the project (Nitkin & Benedick, Ft. Lauderdale SUN-SENTINEL, 10/31).
