MARKETPLACE ROUNDUP

Canadian World Series radio rights fees holder Telemedia has
used Blue Jays announcers Tom Cheek and Jerry Howorth to
broadcast the games instead of CBS Radio because of a deal with
Timex that specifies the announcers give the "Timex time of the
first pitch" on Telemedia's broadcasts. Using CBS Radio's feed
would have made that impossible (GLOBE & MAIL, 10/26)....MLS's DC
United has changed its logo. The eagle will now grip three
soccer balls instead of just one (USA TODAY, 10/26)....The
Patriots put a full page ad in yesterday's BOSTON HERALD thanking
their fans for their good behavior at Monday night's return to
Foxboro Stadium (BOSTON HERALD, 10/25)....Coca Cola Co. put a
full page ad in this morning's USA TODAY announcing the dates for
the Olympic Torch relay (USA TODAY, 10/26).
