STADIUM NOTES

     The Twins and the Metro Sports Facilities Commission
announced yesterday that collectible items cut from the turf of
the Metrodome used during their '87 and '91 World Series wins
will be auctioned and sold to fund after-school activities in the
Minneapolis and St. Paul school districts (Minneapolis STAR
TRIBUNE, 10/24)....The MA House yesterday refused to appropriate
$5M to study the costs of the proposed non-stadium convention
center in Boston, making prospects of reviving the project this
year, or even next, "appear bleak" (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/24)....The
latest issue of CRAIN'S CLEVELAND BUSINESS reports that the
city's "revival" is to continue, transformations must take place
for Cleveland Stadium and the Convention Center (10/23 issue).
