CAN HOT DOG EATING CONTEST AS OLYMPIC EVENT BE FAR AWAY?

Sara Lee Meats, a division of the Sara Lee Corp., has been
named the "Official Packaged Meat Sponsor" of the '96 Games. SLM
will supply packaged meat products to the 150,000 members of the
Olympic Family during the Games. Consumers will benefit from
Olympic-themed promotions, ticket giveaways and sweepstakes
sponsored by SLM brands. Hillshire Farms and Kahn's both plan
sweepstakes featuring trips to the '96 Games, as does Ball Park,
which will have Michael Jordan involved. SLM brands will
incorporate Olympic symbols in their packaging, advertising, and
point-of-purchase displays and promotions. To celebrate the
sponsorship, SLM created a 1,996 foot long hot dog which was
unwrapped at a ceremony in the Georgia Dome (ACOG).
