NFL ISN'T TOTALLY JONESED-OUT, THERE'S L.A. TO THINK ABOUT

NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue will add Lew Wasserman,
Chairman Emeritus of MCA, to his list of meetings when he is in
L.A. later this week, according to the L.A. TIMES. Tagliabue and
Panthers Owner Jerry Richardson, Chair of the NFL Stadium
Committee, will also meet with Dodgers Owner Peter O'Malley and
Disney officials. The TIMES also reports the league "apparently
has lost interest" in Hollywood Park as a site for a new stadium.
Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen: "That ship has sailed. ... It was a
good solution for a problem (the Raiders) that existed right
then. But now that problem has evaporated" (T.J. Simers, L.A.
TIMES, 9/20).
