PATRIOTS DISCUSS NEW STADIUM IN FOXBORO
Published September 13, 1995
While far from being a formal proposal, the Patriots and the town of Foxboro are exploring the "idea" of building a new open- air stadium next to Foxboro Stadium, according to the BOSTON HERALD. The team and town are holding "quiet talks" while downtown megaplex negotiations continue. Foxboro Board of Selectmen Vice Chair Michael Coppola: "We have been constantly talking with the Patriots. We are open to anything that would be beneficial to both the town and the team" (Phil Primack, BOSTON HERALD, 9/13).
