NHL PLAYERS VOICE OPINIONS CONCERNING OLYMPIC PLAY
Published August 4, 1995
Several NHL players have met with IIHF President Rene Fasel concerning the '98 Nagano Games. The players said that a 10-game break to play in the Olympics during the NHL's season will "lead to burnout." Players also feel that the break was too short. Fasel reportedly "hinted" that 2002 might be "more realistic" (CP/Vancouver PROVINCE, 8/4).
