SAVE THE JETS GROUP GETS ANOTHER CHANCE
Published August 3, 1995
The Winnipeg City Council has agreed to take another look at a request by the Spirit of Manitoba, the group trying to save the Jets, to use the city's charitable tax status for an endowment fund. The endowment fund would cover any losses the team is expected to incur in the next few years. A special meeting has reportedly been scheduled for today (CP/TORONTO GLOBE & MAIL, 8/3).
