WILL BOSTON'S FLEETCENTER LET STATE HELP WORCESTER FACILITY?
Published August 2, 1995
New Boston Garden Corp. President Larry Moulter said public funding should not be used to help fund a convention center facility at the Worcester Centrum -- a facility that would compete with the FleetCenter. New Boston Garden will operate the new FleetCenter and opposes a proposed bond issue to fund $19M of a Worcester plan to build a convention center next to the Centrum. Phil Primack reports in this morning's BOSTON HERALD that Moulter is most concerned about concert competition (BOSTON HERALD, 8/2).
