Former replacement player and current Astro CRAIG MCMURTRY received a standing ovation from Astros fans as he was introduced Tuesday night. According to Terry Blount in the HOUSTON CHRONICLE, "It was a clear message to the other Astros that all is not forgiven from the strike" (HOUSTON CHRONICLE, 8/18)....The Clown Prince of Baseball, MAX PATKIN, will be honored Saturday by the Reading Phillies for his 52 years of entertaining. Due to health problems, Patkin can entertain no more. The Hall of Fame will show Patkin's uniform in Cooperstown (USA TODAY, 8/18).
