SIXERS, ORIOLES TO MOVE TRAINING SITES

The Sixers announced yesterday they will move their training camp to the Univ. of DE this season after training at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA for the last 17 years (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 7/7)....A deal to move the Orioles spring training to Ft. Lauderdale was approved Wednesday. The O's are still negotiating with the city over who will pay for a new training facility for the team's minor leaguers, and stadium improvements. Ft. Lauderdale's Orioles deal runs through '97 and may be extended. The O's have trained at Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg since '92 (Baltimore SUN, 7/7).
