     Spalding Professional Golf has signed top teaching pro RICK
SMITH to a long term contract....MIKE OBERTO has been appointed
to the position of National Sales Mgr for Founders Club Golf
Co....Daiwa's Golf Div. has signed LPGA player LISA WALTERS to a
one-year endorsement contract (GOLFInc., 6/95 issue).... The NFL
has named RICK HORROW a consultant for stadium business issues.
Horrow will assist in the development and implementation of
various planning strategies concerning the construction and
renovation of NFL team stadiums (Press Box)....WENDY LEWIS has
been appointed Exec Dir of Human Resources for MLB
(MLB)....Raycom has announced the following additions of sales
and distribution staff to its Ft. Lauderdale and L.A. offices.
MICHAEL TUNICK is now the Dir of West Coast Distribution for the
L.A. office.  MICHAEL CLANCY has been named Dir of Sales and
Marketing for the Carquest Bowl (Raycom)....WILLIAM TUCKER,
Chancellor of TCU, has been reelected as the Chair of the CFA
Board of Dir.  Nebraska AD C. WILLIAM BYRNE was reelected to his
position as CFA Secretary-Treasurer (CFA). ....Liberty Sports has
hired MIKE HARTER as Team Liaison.  Harter has worked the last
two years for the New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority
(Liberty)....JOHN ARGUE has been elected as Chair of the Board of
the Amateur Athletic Foundation of L.A..  The Foundation receives
funds from the Olympic surplus to Southern CA's youth sports
programs (L.A. TIMES, 6/6).
