     "Talks on the sale of Labatt's broadcasting assets," which
include The Sports Network, have "broken down" (FINANCIAL TIMES,
6/28).  But the Toronto GLOBE & MAIL reports that new bids are
expected to be taken by Interbrew SA in one to two weeks (GLOBE &
MAIL, 6/28)....ESPN is expected to announce today that Sterlng
Sharpe will succeed Phil Simms as NFL studio analyst (BOSTON
HERALD, 6/28).... The first pick in tonight's NBA Draft will meet
with Warriors management and Bay Area news media using AT&T's
VISTIUM desktop video conferencing system (NBA)....Home Team
Sports and America Online drew over 2,000 questions from 150-325
viewers/subscribers in a live online forum during HTS's telecast
of Saturday's Orioles/Red Sox game (HTS)....The lawsuit the NFL
filed against three Atlanta bars for illegally showing games from
"NFL Sunday Ticket" was settled on Monday, with each bar making
cash payments to the league and accepting a permanent injunction
against future unauthorized telecasts (ATLANTA CONSTITUTION,
6/27).
