Former Nets/Pistons Coach CHUCK DALY appeared on last
night's "Charlie Rose."  Asked if it was possible that he could
be coaching next season, Daly responded: "It's very unlikely, in
fact, it's probably impossible" ("Charlie Rose," 6/14)....Former
NFL Star CALVIN HILL appeared on last night's "Up Close."  Hill,
on his son GRANT: "Basically, he's a good kid.  People ask me how
I would characterize him.  I always say, that if I had a
daughter, he's the kind of guy I'd hope she would marry."  Hill,
who worked as an executive for the Orioles, was asked which sport
he was most interested in becoming involved with:  "The sport
that's most dynamic in my mind is basketball, I just see a
wonderful entertainment package in basketball" (ESPN, 6/14).

fired yesterday -- a belated move in the transition from the
Cuomo to Pataki administration (N.Y. POST, 6/15).
