VOLS WOMEN'S HOOPS COACH TO BE SCHOOL'S HIGHEST PAID
Published May 3, 1995
The Univ. of Tennessee has extended the contract of Women's Basketball Coach Pat Summitt through 2001, raising her base salary to $125,000, higher than both Men's Football Coach Phillip Fulmer and Men's Basketball Coach Kevin O'Neill. Summitt's overall pay package (including radio-TV and shoe and equipment endorsements) will leave her short of the Mens coaches, $233,800 compared to Fulmer's $442,009 and O'Neill's $388,852 (Jimmy Davy, Nashville TENNESSEAN, 5/2).
