EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     Flyers GM BOBBY CLARKE was named the NHL's Executive of the
Year by the SPORTING NEWS.  His trade for JOHN LECLAIR, ERIC
DESJARDINS and GILBERT DIONNE for MARK REECHI was seen as key to
the team's success this year (SPORTING NEWS, 5/29 issue)....The
U.S. Figure Skating Association has announced the election of its
new officers:  MORRY STILLWELL as President, GLORIA EARNHARDT as
Pacific VP, JOHN LEFEVRE as Eastern VP, and PATRICIA HAGEDORN as
Secretary (USFSA)....    The SWC Council is expected to approve
KYLE KALLANDER, the SWC's Assistant Commissioner for External
Affairs, as the league's next and last commissioner today.
Former SWC commissioner STEVE HATCHELL will become commissioner
of the Big 12 on July 12, the day that the SWC begins its final
year (Wendell Barnhouse, FORT WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 5/26).
