USOC SEARCH COMMITTEE BEGINS FINAL INTERVIEWS

USOC officials began interviewing candidates for the vacant Exec Dir's post in Chicago yesterday. The list is believed to contain at least five candidates: Former NCAA Exec Dir Dick Schultz, former Michigan State AD Merrily Dean, former U.S. Skiing CEO Mike Jacki, Nike Sports Management President Terdema Ussery and Colorado Springs Schools Superintedent Ken Burnley. John Krimsky took over as interim USOC Exec Dir, when Harvey Schiller decided to become president of Turner Sports (USA TODAY, 5/24).
