     A half page ad in this morning's WALL STREET JOURNAL by the
city of Jacksonville touted the city as the "Expansion City:"
"That's a big claim.  But before you decide that getting the 30th
NFL expansion team has gone to Jacksonville's head, let's talk
geography" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 5/22)....Heritage Floors in
Ottawa is selling pieces of the floor from the old Chicago
Stadium.  Prices start at $99 for a six-inch square piece
(HOUSTON CHRONICE/ Toronto GLOBE & MAIL, 5/19)....Leaf North
America will reportedly produce entertainment cards.  Leaf, whose
Donruss operation handles baseball cards, has signed on a
prominent agent to seek out promotional opportunities in the
entertaiment sector.  Norman Lazar Scher, a Burbank, CA, firm
specializing in entertainment trading cards, will represent Leaf
effective August 1 (George Lazarus, CHICAGO
TRIBUNE, 5/21)....Doug Overton of the Bullets, Tony McGee of the
Bengals, and Brian Mitchell of the Redskins were on BET's "Sports
Report" to discuss their work with under- privileged children.
McGee, on his football camp: "We bring in corporate sponsors and
we tell them, 'Your corporate dollars are important, but we want
a commitment.  We want the kids to see positive people like
yourself.'  We want them to see the doctors and the lawyers, let
them be able to relate to these people.  We want these people to
talk to the kids ... because hopefully that's what these kids
will strive to be" (BET, 5/20)....NBA Inside Stuff went behind
the scenes of the shooting of the Michael Jordan's new Nike ad
with Spike Lee ("NBA Inside Stuff," NBC, 5/20).
