Published May 12, 1995
Following a replay of a check by the Devils' Mike Peluso on the Bruins' Josef Stumpel and critical comments by SportsChannel's Mike Emrick during Wednesday's game, Devils PR exec Mike Levine "went into SC's production truck and told producer Roland Dratch not to run the replay again," according to Bob Raissman of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. Yesterday SportsChannel's new Exec Producer Pete Silverman "was highly agitated." Silverman: "I don't tell, nor would I ever think of telling, Jacques Lemaire how to run his team. How dare they try to run my team." Raissman writes, "There is no place for censorship" (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 5/12).
