BIG MONDAY JUST GOT BIGGER: ESPN, WAC ANNOUNCE HOOPS DEAL

     ESPN Inc. and the WAC have reached a multi-year agreement
for ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN-subsidiary Creative Sports Inc. to
distribute WAC basketball games for the upcoming season.  From
January to early March '96, men's WAC games will be carried on
ESPN's "Big Monday" in the midnight time slot.  ESPN will also
carry at least five additional games, including the WAC
championship.  ESPN2 will carry at least 11 men's games on
Thursday and Saturday nights, in addition to at least two women's
games.  Creative Sports has also acquired the rights to syndicate
all remaining WAC tournament and women's games, as well as
broadcast network distribution rights for all WAC games.  WAC
Commissioner Karl Benson:  "Being part of the 'Big Monday'
package will allow the WAC to gain tremendous national impact.
The intangible benefits of the ESPN game promos only add to the
value of the total package" (ESPN).
