         The Cardinals fired Assistant GM BOB ACKLES (Mult.,
    4/25)....Former tennis pro VIJAY AMRITRAJ has become a partner in
    India with Capital Cities/ABC and its subsidiary, DIC
    Entertainment (ELECTRONIC MEDIA, 4/24 issue).....JOHN RIZZARDINI
    has joined the Northwest Entertainment Group as VP/Customer
    Service and Ticket Sales.  Rizzardini comes from the Warriors
    where he served as Manager of Basketball Services after six years
    as VP/Marketing (NEG).
         CLARIFICATION:  Yesterday's SPORTS BUSINESS DAILY should not
    have included the Hall of Fame Bowl as being under the
    jurisdiction of the Orange County Sports Association.  The group
    operates the Freedom Bowl and the Association's Hall of Fame.

         TERRY STEINBACH, RON DARLING, MIKE BORDICK, MARK MCGWIRE and
    DAVE STEWART have purchased 15,000 seats for A's games on the
    opening weekend at the Coliseum.  The seats will be expressly
    reserved for non-profit youth groups and are part of the A's
    efforts to welcome fans back (A's).... Blazers Owner PAUL ALLEN
    has made a minority equity investment in 3D/EYE, Inc, a developer
    of three-dimensional technologies (3/D/EYE)....The family of
    Yankees Owner GEORGE STEINBRENNER has purchased a piece of the
    125-year-old Red Mile harness track (CINCINNATI ENQUIRER, 4/25).
