EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TARGET CENTER DANA WARG PROFILED
Published April 11, 1995
DANA WARG, Executive Director of the Target Center and VP of Ogden Entertainment Services, is the focus of an extensive piece in the Minneapolis STAR- TRIBUNE. Warg, 47, is "quick on his feet. Fluent in the language of the facilities biz, of which he had been a player for a quarter of a century." But Warg's "patience with the political process is limited" and is "first and foremost," interested in seeing the Target Center and Ogden profit. He is also a key figure in bringing the NHL back to the Twin Cities; he met with NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman on Thursday where he "got good vibes, but no assurances" (Jay Weiner, Minneapolis STAR-TRIBUNE, 4/10). Warg is working on securing an ATP women's tournament for the Target Center next spring, and will attend the Arena Football League opener in Phoenix on May 15. The Target center is a possible site for one of four expansion AFL teams next season (STAR-TRIBUNE, 4/9).
