COSBY LOOKING TO FLY WITH THE EAGLES?
Published March 7, 1995
Bill Cosby has "confirmed that he is interested in becoming a minority owner of the Eagles." Cosby said he would speak with Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie to discuss his interest. Cosby: "I think he's looking for certain individuals and I would imagine the figure would be from $8 to $14 million. About the same as a bad tip." Cosby had mentioned his interest weeks ago, but "one of his concerns was that he didn't want former Eagles Coach Dick Vermeil to get the job back" (Mike Kern, PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 3/6).
