Liberty Sports' '95 telecast package of the Miller Lite/AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour will be distributed by Prime Network. A total of 10 events will be offered throughout the season, which kicks off today (Liberty).... In '96, the Pro Bowlers Tour will make its first appearance on ABC Sports on March 25, instead of its "customary" January start. Also next year, ABC will only air the PBA for six weeks before a two-week hiatus, followed by eight more weeks of bowling. According to Dick Evans in Miami, the break will "hurt the TV ratings." This new contract includes a slight monetary increase in '97, but this comes after ABC cut the rights money for each winter bowling telecast in '94 from $190,000 to $50,000 and only submitted one-year contracts for '94 and '95 (MIAMI HERALD, 3/26).
