FENWAY TO GET VISIT FROM MEGAPLEX PANEL
Published March 28, 1995
The commission studying sites for a possible convention- sports facility in Boston has "accepted an invitation" to tour Fenway Park on April 10 -- scheduled to be the Red Sox home opener. The game is set to begin at 1:05pm, and, according to commission Co-Chair state Rep. Kevin Fitzgerald, the tour will be a "good opportunity" for commission members to see the park with fans. The commission, which is also scheduled to visit Foxboro Stadium, will issue its findings by June 1 on whether to build a combination multi-use stadium and convention center (Richard Kindleberger, BOSTON GLOBE, 3/28).
