U.S./CHINA REACH HISTORIC AGREEMENT
Officials of the Chinese Olympic Committee (COC) and ACOG announced an agreement to designate Zong Ao Physical Development Co. (ZAPD), Beijing, as an agent for trademark licensing programs in China for trademarks and symbols owned by ACOG -- the first deal of its type ever reached between the U.S. and China. Under the deal, Chinese manufacturers who wish to use the trademarks, symbols and designations owned by ACOG will apply for a license through ZAPD. In return, the manufacturers will return a portion of their receipts as royalties to ZAPD, the COC and ACOG (ACOG).
